Being a Delta means sisterhood. It means knowing I will never be alone no matter where I travel or where life takes me. As a business owner, Delta has helped prepare me for some of my most hardest and sleepless nights. I’ve always said the top 3 most difficult things I’ve ever had to do in life were to give birth, pledge, and start a business; in that order.
If I hadn't gone through a process to get something so rewarding I might not have made it as far as I have and I’m so grateful for the life lessons I’ve learned along the way. People often ask me when I have time to sleep but honestly my motivation comes from the goal of building generational wealth for me and my family. Being a Delta to me means knowing that wherever I go I will always be able to find community and have a platform to serve in it as well.
A Delta woman embodies power, she is bold, she is fierce and hard working. She stands up for what she believes in, even if it may not be the most popular belief which is why the achievement of crossing those burning sands can carry one far, especially on a resume as everyone knows Deltas are hard workers.
