How do you see yourself, and how would you like to be seen?
I see myself as a misunderstood vessel with a misinterpreted soul. I am a loner who loves people (in my own way).
My silence just means that I am waiting on God-Then I move. I would like to be known or seen just as I am- An imperfect person who is just “forgiven”! I am a body overflowing with thanks!
How do you define your purpose in life?
My purpose in life is to show kindness to a unkind world- -give unexpectedly and not expect anything in return. Serve Others-My ultimate goal is to try to leave a situation better than I found it (always)!
What are three events that helped to shape your life?
My Adoptive mom’s passing- it made me realize instantly that I am my own team-No players. Just me-No one to rely on.
Inheriting Money- It allowed me to relocate to another state (reset). Provide a better life for my daughter & I.
Finding a Solid Church with a Godly Foundation -A Pastor who is real- Receiving God’s Uncompromising Word then applying it to my life.
What woman inspires you and why?
I am inspired by many women especially the underdogs-women who people wrote off- but God wrote down. The overlooked women! The single women-The uninspired, the unloved women -but yet I am also moved by the woman who never gives up- the no isn’t an option type woman-The real behind my back women! College degrees and accolades are great and that shows success
but how do you treat people who can do nothing for you ? Makes me adore you more!
Are there any assumptions about women that you would like to change? Why?
People assume that all women are weak-which is NOT true ! Women are strong and able to do it all. But they shouldn’t have to! We are designed to be a help meet. Not a burden bearer!
Insecurity and Low self esteem is not our birthright- Love Is in our pedigree!
What do you believe will be the biggest challenge for the generation of women behind you?
Our young women don’t know what worth really means-they equate worth as value. Worth involves how God designed you-HE doesn’t make junk. Value = monetary gain. Don’t let others determine your worth! Look for the potential in people as God sees the potential in you-reciprocate the love! When you do gain wealth-teach others as well. Introduce family members on how to obtain it( generational wealth!)
As a Woman of Valor, what advice would you give to your younger self and do you follow this advice now?
Keep God first. Family Second- Protect your credit like a blank check. Save 20% of everything you make-Rainy days come! Sow seeds of positivity into your fellow queens & kings-everyone is fighting a silent battle. When you can- “Pay It Forward” God Sees It! Obedience is better than sacrifice! I try to follow these hidden treasures but at times fall short- I am a work in progress-pray with me and for me!
