How do you see yourself, and how do you want to be seen?

I view myself as trying my best to live as God would have me to and enjoying all those around me and whom God has placed in my life. I also view myself as kind, loving, giving and forgiving.

How do you define your purpose in life?

I really believe my purpose is to help those in need, especially my family. May it be financially or to encourage them when they need it.

What are three events that helped to shape your life?

Church is # 1 because God has to be #1 in my life, time with my husband, and my family.

What woman inspires you and why?

My mother inspires me the most. She is one of the strongest women I know. She gave birth to seven girls and two boys. She is faithful to her family and church. Although she had to go through a tumultuous marriage, she made it through with God’s help. She helped me to see that I can be strong no matter what comes my way. I know this to be true because having God in my life will help me to overcome anything.

What do you believe will be the biggest challenge for the generation of women behind you?

To believe that they can step up and step out, and not let a man or money stop them from being the woman she wants to be.

As a Woman of Valor, what advice would you give to your younger self and do you follow this advice now?

My advice is don’t put your life on a certain time limit. Enjoy life and reach out for whatever you love to see and would like to enjoy. Yes, I do follow this advice because I used to be an introverted person and not want to participate in activities at all, but now I’m much more outgoing and enjoying life.
